My name is Cera but I'm also known as Miss Jarrard. I created this blog for two reasons: 1- As a requirement for an assignment for my AC program and 2- I've been told by numerous people to document my first year teaching because it's a year I never want to forget. So thank you, Quality ACT and friends of mine for requiring/encouraging me to do this :).
I'm the proud dog mother to a spunky hound and the happy girlfriend to a pretty awesome guy. Together, these boys make my heart smile.

As mentioned on my first post, teaching was not my first stop after college. I worked in "Corporate America" for a couple of years until realizing it wasn't for me. I really do think I was called to teach and I'm super pumped that I happen to love doing it. My students challenge me and make me a better person every day. I'm pretty lucky to have them. I'm also lucky that I get to work with such a great team and administration.
